Before she headed to Norbrook, Celandine decided she had more than enough time to head into the woods and check how things were that morning. She allowed her glamour to melt, stepping out into the winter air, but then it occurred to her that her natural greenness was far too obvious now that the woods lay heavily shrouded in frost and snow. This was no problem for the fairy as she smoothed her hands over her form, eyes closed as she concentrated on changing her colouring to that which she imagined. She opened her eyes and went to peer into the clear ice of the water barrel in her garden. Her green eyes sparkled as she saw a pale vision beaming back at her.
Now she could simply sit on a branch, or slip between the trees almost as part of the forest herself. She couldn’t help but think back to the fight she had with the vampire in the woods a few weeks ago. Cel wasn’t one to ever wander unarmed, or shy away from a fight. She knew, however, that there were indeed many who wandered without a sense of their own safety. She and Taeghen both felt that they would offer hospitality and help to those, so with her sword and crossbow Celandine headed out to watch silently and see if anyone was in need of help.
