By the time you realise you are under her spell, it is too late for you… you are lost.
I really enjoy messing about creating a fantasy AV, even if only to fit with a picture idea. It’s true that a lot of my time in SL is spent as a fae again, but it was good to have a look at some of the amazing things there are to create a mermaid.
BOM is a real help these days. It’s good to being able to go back to layering up looks.
So I started off with my usual Legacy body, and added the Cynefin Nemissa Bento tail to it. Years ago, I had a couple of lovely mermaid tails, but never really managed to make them fit properly once I moved to a mesh body. The nemissa fits perfectly with my Legacy, which impressed me a lot. I also added the Nemissa bra from Violent Seduction, made to go with the tails.
I put the LOGO ( http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Eventide%20Far%20East/177/116/33) Khloe head back on for this picture. I threw on one of the Mimosa skins from 7DS. Mimosa was made for the LOGO Chelsea head, but works just as perfectly on Khloe.
So then to make her look a little more… mermaidish. Well as I use the make up layers on the LOGO HUD, I was able to tint the lipstick to an interesting shade of blue, but what truly made the look for me was using one of the ALORA overlay layers from Petrichor (http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Lune/131/127/1515) . It threw a lovely turquoise layer of markings on the face, ears and down the neck, front and back. It comes with two ‘shine’ possibilities, smooth and sparkle. Smooth is shown here.
Just to add another touch of magic, my mer is holding one of the Kekyrion Orbs from Petrichor. The animation shows her throwing it from one hand to the other as it glows and swirls.
The hair is one of the editorial hairs from Tableau Vivant from a looooong time ago. I just knew it would come in handy sometime!
The amazing location where I took this picture is well worth a visit. You can find it here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Ukupanipo/157/222/19
