Much of my time in SL over the years has been spent indulging my love of words roleplaying. I spent many years fluttering about as a fae, and always felt my avatar needed to look very distinct from… ‘me’.
It’s no secret that I love to see what people create in SL, and have very much enjoyed the imagination which can be reflected in the fantasy skins people have created. This picture however… as pink as she is… is using the Amelia skin from LOGO on the Mae LOGO head that she was created for.
You see, one of the things I really delight in, is when a skin fits a head perfectly, and sadly that wasn’t always the case with fantasy skins I bought. It was understandable because they were being ‘painted’ by someone who hadn’t made the head. LOGO skins are made by Max, the same person who has crafted the head.
Now… for the epiphany moment that I had a few weeks back.
I use the Maitreya body, and those of you who also do, may remember they recently updated it. Whilst tinkering and tweaking, I realised that I could tint my body, but more than just that… in using the palette, it would give me the exact RGB numbers. I am sure many of you have realised this before… but sometimes I seem to take ages to find my way to wonderful shortcuts. To create this look for my fairy avatar I first tinted made sure the Maitreya body, the head, and the ears were all using the same LOGO applier tone… then I tinted the body and copied the numbers across to both the Mae head, and the LOGO Ilvanya ears.
For those who like me enjoy fantasy RP, or who just enjoy creating fantasy-based pictures, it’s a great thing to explore!
