It takes time, and life, to truly get to know yourself.

When young, I thought my life would be completely sorted by the time I reached the age I am now. How wrong I was!

Each year that passes… no, each day or week that passes has the potential to turn things on their head and force me to learn something completely new.

We are now into February, but my mind is still stuck in that “New Year ” kind of phase. I now recognise the pattern of how things go though. Each January is spent with me trying to get used to which year it is, and then seemingly when I blink, the summer has arrived. The next thing seems to be people asking about Christmas plans… and then another year arrives. It’s not really as bad as that, but there are times when I feel it’s a case of hanging on as best I can, while each week hurtles by!

I think the trick is to not let my spirit be dented by all that rushes past. Even in trying times there are glimpses of good, and I try to pick out those elements and focus on them.

Here’s wishing you a week which has a generous smattering of happy and positive moments, times which are to be enjoyed and cherished!
