Life shapes us all. It certainly has turned me into the person I am now.
So often I have jagged edges though… and am awkward. I can seem so impatient to those who do not deserve my efforts. I know that probably sounds… very harsh.
Age has brought me many things… health issues at times, wrinkles…but one thing it has brought is a sense of how quickly the years pass.
Often… way too often I apologise for how harsh I may seem to others. I don’t hide the scars I have, even if I would lessen their sting if I could.
Over the past two days I have had a change of thought though. Those who know me, know I am a very harsh critic of myself. Just suppose though, that at the same time as life was scarring me, it has also bathed me in colours which make me interesting too. Life brings such wonders. It’s through living that I am able to build on my skills, sharpen my humour, and in time hope to become my best and proper self.
I am always so ready to see the warmth of colours that others bring to my life, perhaps it’s high time I recognised that I am similar.
